My WOSIB Page

I became a member of WOSIB (Women of Strength and Inner Beauty)
on August 16, 2001.  I have met many women in this group, many will be
lifetime friends of mine although I have never met them in person.  I know that
is hard for people to understand who have not experienced this type of friendship,
 but it is unique and very rewarding. 

I have met women from all over the world, learned about their cultures
and their languages and their lives and their problems.  I have
laughed with them and I have cried when they have lost their lives. 
 I will always remember some very special ladies whom we have lost
 especially one in particular who was the first lady I met when
I joined this webring that woman being KimTX. 

We have a wonderful leader, Becca, whom I met when I first joined WOSIB
and we have become friends even though she left WOSIB for a year, but she
is back now as our leader.  I never lost touch with Becca even during that year
while she was gone..  She is a fellow Texan and we Texans just seemed
to stick together.  WOSIB has had its ups and downs as any webring does
 who has been in existence as long as WOSIB has.  But, we are still here
and we are still strong, we are still growing and we refuse to die.  We will
remain on the internet and we will remain strong under the new
leadership of Becca.

And now as of 4/15/09, WOSIB will close it's doors. Yes, after almost
9 years the time has come for Becca to move on with her real life and
it has been decided to close the doors of a webring that means a lot to
a lot of people.  I will leave my page up as I gave almost 8 years to this
group, met a lot of nice ladies from all over the world.   I plan to stay in
touch with a good many of them for many of them have become life long
friends and you don't say goodbye to people like that. I shall miss many
of the people I have met but I am thankful that I was given the opportunity
to meet and make many new friends, some I have met in person, some I
have talked to on the telephone and hope to meet one day and many I
shall keep in contact with via email.  So it is a bittersweet day when we
say goodbye but we will take many friendships with us.  Thanks WOSIB
for all the sweet memories.
