Daryl Worley - Have You Forgotten?
Click to Pause Music

This page is dedicated to
the remembrance of all those who
died in the terrible
tragedy in New York City,
Pennsylvania and in Washington,
D.C. on
Sept. 11, 2001 For the pilots,
flight attendants and passengers
aboard those
ill fated flights. For the EMS
team......fireman, police and
all involved in
the rescue. For those who lost
loved ones , for those with
heavy
hearts and hopes for good news
that a loved one survived. Our
hearts
are heavy, our minds are stunned
and most of all, our prayers
go out to you. God Bless you
each and everyone.
One year
later and we still remember all
those who lost loved ones and
all the workers at ground zero.
We will never forget. God bless
the USA.

A moment of silence,
For all we've lost.
The laughing of children,
The singing of birds,
The peacefulness of a morning,
The bustle of a city
Going about its day.
A moment of silence,
For all we've gained.
The bravery of heroes,
The spirit of hope,
The peacefulness of a morning,
The bustle of a city
Going about its day.
A moment of silence,
To honor yesterday,
And to prepare for tomorrow.
Suzanne Mazer Stewart -- 2001
We gathered at the Prayer
Tower in Pittsburg, Texas on
Friday, 9/14/01 for the
National Day of Prayer.
The Prayer Tower, Pittsburg,
Texas.
The children hold their flags
and pray.

The Band plays The Stars
Spangled Banner.

Bo Pilgrim, who donated the Prayer
Tower to our community, reads to
the crowd regarding the reasons for war.

The
following is taken from a leaflet
handed out to the crowd:
"We are dealing with an evil
leader with many allied groups
and nations who hate the United
States as a Christian
super power that stands for
freedom, free enterprise, freedom
of speech
and freedom of religion. These
terrorists we have heard so much
about
will be brought to utter
destruction, which means painful
bloodshed and sacrifices, for the
terrorists as well as ourselves,
before it can be resolved."
Let us
welcome this as America's "Wake-Up
Call" and take our places
as Christian Soldiers.

The Columbia Tragedy
Once again in
too short of a time for us, we
have had another tragedy with the
re-entry and explosion of the
Space Shuttle Columbia. What a
sad time for the world when on
February 1 this occurred. How
close to me it came with parts
being scattered over northeast
Texas to southeast Texas. Below
is a remembrance of that fateful
day and one for the remembrance of
the Memorial Services held on
February 4, 2003.
May God bless
the families who lost loved ones
in this unbelievable explosion and
destruction and may the souls of
the faithful departed rest in
peace and may light perpetual
shine upon them.
SIXTEEN
MINUTES FROM HOME:
In 16 minutes we'd be home again,
in 16 minutes we'd be on American
soil,
in 16 minutes we'd be united with
family,
in 16 minutes we'd be done with
the toil.
In a moment we knew we were in
trouble,
in a moment we knew we were going
away,
in a moment we knew we must say
good-bye,
in a moment we knew it was time to
pray.
In a second we felt the love of
God,
in a second we felt the wind of
His wings,
in a second we felt the call to
come home,
in a second we felt the joy He
brings.
In an instant we were set free,
in an instant we were granted
release,
in an instant we were in God's
arms,
in an instant we were at perfect
peace.
